~My Thoughts~
The Cabin in the Woods was a complete surprise to me! Not
only to me, but to my boyfriend and my family! So this was a winner for sure!
I honestly thought this was going to be a cliché but it wasn’t,
in a sense. In another sense, it was totally
a cliché however that’s because the horror story is being orchestra by a group of
people within the government. I know, crazy right? So this is pretty much a “choose
your own adventure” type for our stars and I know those books can be pretty fun….sometimes
haha.
In the beginning we get to see a part of the government piece
of the story and here it gets you curious cause you really don’t know what’s
going on! This aspect of the storyline is intriguing and unique seeing as what
they’re doing is usually only seen in dystopian stories. The way the government
controlled the situation got me excited and reminded me of The Hunger Games! It
pulled me in and made me realize how awesome this concept actually is!
Though this wasn’t scary “scary”, it was more of a jump kind
of scare, however I still enjoyed this and was sitting on the edge of my seat
the whole time! I was immersed into the story, I got connected to the characters,
and I absolutely loved Marty! He was my favorite character and though he was a
pot head, he was smart and the government surely had to watch out for him. I think
what made me and my man fall in love with him was how creatively awesome his
bong was! Oh my god, it surely got everyone laughing!
Overall, I had low expectations going in and came out quite satisfied!
So if you’re a fan of horror or not a big fan of it, you’ll definitely be
entertained no matter what! You’ll be hooked and dying to see where this movie
goes. I promise you’ll be quite surprised and I had no idea first going in what
the true overall story was. It’s a bit out of the box and from the beginning
you would never think this is where it was going to end up, so it’s quite
interesting. I don’t know how much I loved the end, it was okay but I can say I
loved the journey so much more and how Sigourney Weaver just pretty much shows
up out of nowhere! So, I most definitely recommend this fun movie. You can
watch it on Netflix!
Sweet Viewing Everybody!
This was a nice surprise to me too! I love the controllers and the movie had so many shocks. I enjoyed it from beginning to end and watched it twice.
