~Summary~
An unlikely partnership…

Demon hunter Liz Marlowe and vampire Jack Morgan have hated each other from the moment they met. But when a powerful enemy threatens their beloved city of Boston, they form a reluctant alliance. It’s supposed to be temporary—just one night, in fact. But as the tension between them builds to the breaking point, neither is prepared for what happens next.

Taming the Vampire is Book 1 of the Blood and Absinthe series.

~My Thoughts~

This was interesting. I wished we got to know the main gal a bit more. She's this tough girl in a world where all the odds are against her, she’s a hybrid. She's half fae and half human, those two together don't go well in the world she wants so badly to be in, so she has walls built up because of that. I liked her better when she brought those walls down.
Pretty much short story shorter, she needs to bust up her powers so she can defeat a creature haunting her city and the only way to do that is to sleep with a vampire. This, if you really think about it, kind of makes sense haha. And it’s most definitely a new twist to the vampire world.
She's a demon hunter, by the way, and she just loathes the vampire kind so this doesn't boat real well with her. Even though her friend is kind of encouraging her to do so haha. I like that scene. At first Liz hates the idea till she gets hurt by the creature, takes her bloody ass to her enemy Jack the vampire, and tells him of the idea. Of course he isn't going to take this lightly but as time goes on his heart warms up to it as he starts to see that he has certain emotions towards Liz he never thought he had towards her.
Overall this short wasn't bad. Was it amazing, no but I was hooked and it’s a short with a scene that can make you blush. So it’s a win, win. You get both point of views and my favorite would have to be Jacks, seeing behind his eyes was fun and watching him discover his feelings for her was absolutely adorable. I love watching guys fall in love, I don't know why but it just melts my heart. Though one thing I wished happened in this was us getting to see how Liz defeated the monster, that would have been nice and would have added greatly to this story.
Gives you a good haunting
