Haha, here goes Pearl with her witty self again (first scene). I adore her, she is one amazing character, and these scenes were just so fun to read. These quotes just cracked me up haha! ^_^

But what happens when a fairy godmother needs a wish of her own?
A book that totally surprised me….
….and maybe not always for the better. This book, humph, was okay. Getting from this summary I thought
this was going to be a full on romantic, charming, and magical read. I mean,
with fairy godmothers in the play, why shouldn’t it be all those things with a
hopeful sweet high school romance on top. Right? Well, wrong.
Instead this book came off more as a guide on how to form a
bond with your estrange daughter that just so happens to have the family trait. Delaney (love that name) moves
in with her famous life coach of a father in this so fool cheerful town that
reminded me a lot of times of the TV show Suburgatory. Delaney was most
definitely the odd girl out as apparently a lot of town folks are cheerfully wearing
bright pastel colors. She dressed more on the dark side and I adored that she
just so happen to make and design her own boots, withwheels! How freaking
rocking!! That’s the first time I’ve read a young adult character that has that
type of hobby, it was….refreshing.
Anyways, the writing was easy to follow and I could
have read it in a day (I miss those days, haha). However, I just couldn’t
really connect. Don’t Expect Magic totally had its charming, magical moments. My
favorite was the café scene, I freaking adored that moment! ^_^ It was Delaney’s
somewhat shining moment on trying to get her client, with the supposedly gal he
likes, to finally talk.
But there were things I wasn’t a big fan with. Like the
romance, Delaney finally figured she liked her client, in the last few
chapters. She finally found out she liked him, like, ¾’s within the book. Now, I’m
not asking for instant love here but I would have liked to be able to connect
more with her feelings for her client, that’s all. You know, get what the
summary was offering. Which is why this book was just, humph….okay.
Though I did enjoy how she was a match maker for her dad, how
quickly she found out about her family secret and how not so easily she took
it. I mean, in most paranormal otherworldly books, the main characters just
right up front believes what they are told. Instead, Delaney’s brain tries to
logic it out, which I loved! It was a nice change, you know.
Overall, this was an okay book. I was hooked yes, but I felt
like it was missing something. Or at least, I was expecting something and I got
something completely else, which is probably why it’s really just an okay book
for me. I will probably pick up the second book and thankfully there is no
cliffhanger at the end of this one. I was very happy with how Don’t Expect
Magic ended.
I liked it. It was okay. Pick up if you want but I forewarned you, haha.

Her husband, Linden, is hopelessly in love with her, and Rhine can’t bring herself to hate him as much as she’d like to. He opens her to a magical world of wealth and illusion she never thought existed, and it almost makes it possible to ignore the clock ticking away her short life. But Rhine quickly learns that not everything in her new husband’s strange world is what it seems. Her father-in-law, an eccentric doctor bent on finding the antidote, is hoarding corpses in the basement. Her fellow sister wives are to be trusted one day and feared the next, and Rhine is desperate to communicate to her twin brother that she is safe and alive. Will Rhine be able to escape--before her time runs out?
Together with one of Linden's servants, Gabriel, Rhine attempts to escape just before her seventeenth birthday. But in a world that continues to spiral into anarchy, is there any hope for freedom?
This was eerily beautiful….
…and I can’t wait for the next one. I wasn’t so sure about this
book at first because of the mix reviews I’ve read from blogs I follow. However,
overtime this plot was starting to win me over and the cover enchanted me. So,
when I saw it at the library I just grabbed it and sure I almost hit my
boyfriend, while I excitedly brought it away from the shelf, haha.
This book sucked me in from the first page. I was sitting in
my boyfriend’s truck, waiting out the time while he was at the marine center
and I couldn’t put this book down. Out of both my library books I got, I just
couldn’t stop thinking and wanting to read this one over the other.
Anyways, we start off with Rhine, the main, being stuck in a
van with many other girls. She was caught by the Gatherers and was now being
chosen to become a bride. So, from the beginning, you get this creepy chill
through your bones and it’s there pretty much throughout the book. And I loved
that!
I really enjoyed Rhine, enjoyed the little flashbacks of her
and her brother, enjoyed how she actually bonded with her other sister wives,
loved them too. Including the first wife that they were replacing. Even enjoyed
the connection she had with Gabriel, loved it wasn’t insta love, no. Their fond
for each other grew like any relationship should grow.
This world was unnervingly fun. The father in law was creepy
to the T and was a bad guy written perfectly. Her husband was charming and he
truly loved, too bad he doesn’t know what’s going on behind the curtains his
father has put up for him, he doesn’t really know what life is.
Overall, this was written smoothly, causing me to not want to
put the book down. There are twist and unexpected turns, the world outside the
mansion was beautiful and breathtaking. The world inside the mansion and
underneath was suspenseful and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next
as I kept turning the pages.
If you have
your doubts on this one, then do what I did, which was checked it out. But trust
me, once you start reading, the book will not let you go….just like Housemaster
Vaughn.
Most definitely recommend! Why haven't you picked it up yet!

This is a bewitching short story!
One morning my lower back was killing me to the point that I didn't want to leave my bed, thanks to that time of the month (sorry male viewers, haha). But I was dying to read something! However since I couldn't get to my books I popped open my kindle app on my phone, hoping to find something. Anything that would be a fast, quick read for me and that's when I decided to click on this enchanting story.
And what an enchanting story it was! I couldn't put it down or shut it close. It's fast action, going straight to the point of the story, Megan a witch, going onto a job she wasn't so keen on doing in the first place.
Megan and Zach from the begining have this....spark. Chemistry and it's pretty simple to see how this thing is going to end. But it's the journey that makes this story fun. Makes this story hard to think of anything else. Reading it in one sitting, I'm sure you too will be taken by this short.
However, even though I enjoyed it so, I felt it ended too soonly. Them commencing their love for one other seemed too fast. Meaning, I wanted more haha ^_^
For the love of witchy and all things furry then this is a must read. Plus, it's short and free, so whats it going to hurt haha! ^_^

Well, today I'm presenting a new favorite and one thats a part of a WIP Series I have. Which I am working on, on NaNoWriMo. My first year doing it and I'm a little behind. However, last night totally changed my mind. I think I got this haha ^_^.

I'm just loving Dystopians lately, a couple weeks ago I finished Under The Never Sky and oh my god that was breathlessly fresh *Squeal*! I enjoyed it and I really need to write a review for you, my readers, just to show you how freaking amazing it is haha.
And now I'm reading Wither and I am really adoring this frightening world Lauren DeStefano has created for us! ^_^
So, I'm like on a high for great Dystopians and this one sounds like it could be another amazing read for me.
