Review: Vampire Academy

Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy #1) by Richelle Mead
Publication Date: August 16th 2007
Genre: YA Paranormal
Pages: 332

St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger...

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.
Cheesy Words: Page turner
This book I couldn't let go but I just can't find the words to explain how amazing it is. It felt fresh and I can't wait to dive into the next one. If you have yet to read this one, well go and get yourself a copy cause this will help you fall for vampires once again!
- A breath of fresh air on the vampire lure
- Amazing story telling that'll hook you in just the first few pages
- A steamy romance and a cute couple to be
- Fun interesting characters
- A world you'll just fall into and not want to let go
- Some twist and turns
- Action
- Humor
- Very addicting
- It was kinda easy seeing who was the person behind the sick pranks against Lissa but the reasoning behind it, that was a twist
I most Recommend!
“If I let myself love you, I won't throw myself in front of her. I'll throw myself in front of you.”
“But I couldn't help myself, couldn't help the way I felt as I recalled the bliss and rush of a vampire's bite.”

Happy Reading Everybody!
