On My Wishlist (27)

Is a weekly book meme hosted by Cosy Books. Where we talk about the books that are currently on top of our wishlists. Old, new or yet to be released titles are all welcome.

Snow White by Brothers Grimm, Illustrator by Camille Rose Garcia
Publication Date: February 28, 2012
Genre: Fairy Tales
Pages: 80

Summary

“Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who’s the fairest one of all?”

Originating in seventeenth-century French folklore, the story of Snow White has long been one of the world’s most memorable childhood tales.

It is the story of an evil queen determined to do away with a girl—with skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony—who threatens the queen’s quest to remain the most beautiful in her kingdom. This new gift edition presents the unabridged version of the Grimms’ tale, with an original interpretation by renowned artist Camille Rose Garcia that artfully combines wit and dark romance.

We all know the story of Snow White. But I simply want this because of the amazing illustration. Though, of course I would read it too, haha ^_^

Right, right....Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!

Happy Reading Everybody!

Day of the Predator (TimeRiders #2) by Alex Scarrow
Publication Date: August 5, 2010
Genre: YA Science Fiction
Pages: 448

Summary

Liam O’Connor should have died at sea in 1912.
Maddy Carter should have died on a plane in 2010.
Sal Vikram should have died in a fire in 2029.

But all three have been given a second chance—to work for an agency that no-one knows exists. Its purpose—to prevent time travel destroying history . . .

When Maddy mistakenly opens a time window where and when she shouldn’t have, Liam is marooned sixty-five million years ago in the hunting ground of a deadly—and until now—undiscovered species of predator.

Can Liam make contact with Maddy and Sal before he’s torn to pieces by dinosaurs—and without endangering history so much that the world is overtaken by a terrifying new reality?

I know I am still reading the first one, but unless the ending really, and I mean really, sucks, I'm gonna want to read this one, too.

  1. Those are some crazy illustrations.

I wanted to share some On My Wishlist news. I've decided to take over hosting the linky until Cosy Books returns. If you're still interested in doing the meme, I'd love to see you link up on Jul 7.
