Thanks Barbara from BookShelves Of Dreams and sorry for not posting this sooner, took a while as I started late and I pretty much cut myself off from the computer world yesterday, haha!
Anyways,
BookShelves Of Dreams nominated us for The Liebster Blog
Award. It is presented by bloggers to bloggers and is a great way to recognize
our efforts and get to know each other better.
What is the Liebster Blog Award?
You may opt not to do the same but if you happen to pay it forward , good for you! Making blogger friends is fun!
The real "gist" of the Liebster Award is that there is no real award. There are no judges, no special rules. No website with an official team to congratulate you and hold your hand. It's mostly what you want it to be. If you receive the award, you can 1) accept it and 2)pass it along. It's that easy.
1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog
and link back to the blogger who presented this award to you
2. Answer the 11 questions from the nominator, list 11
random facts about yourself and create 11 questions for your nominees
3. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 11 blogs of 200
followers or less who you feel deserve to be noticed and leave a comment on
their blog letting them know they have been chosen. (No tag backs)
4. Copy and Paste the blog award on your blog.
Questions from “BookShelves Of Dreams”
1. What
made you to start blogging?
A: I actually started another
blog before this one. It was supposed to be a place where I talked about my
writing adventures. It was inspired by indie author Keary Taylor! Love her and
so grateful for her work on my cover. Anyways, I didn’t feel like I had much to
say about writing but I wanted to say more of other things. And that is how
this blog came to be, haha. Again, all thanks to Keary! ^_^
T: My sister. I told her once I might want to do reviews,
and she started the blog for the two of us. I wasn’t sure and it took my some
time, but she finally convinced me.
2. What's
the *funniest* book you've *ever* read?
A: Oh, light bulb haha. This
one was a hard one but I just remember the funniest book I’ve ever read would
have to be Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen
Johnson, Lauren
Myracle. They were all truly funny in their own ways, as there where three
different stories, but one moment that stands out the most and the one that
made me laugh the hardest out loud
would have to be when John Greens characters raced down a snowy hill, on top of
a twister board game mat, haha. Seriously hilarious!!! :D
T: I can’t be absolutely sure here. I’ve read a lot of
books. The one that comes to mind is The Rise of Renegade X by Chelsea
Campbell. I laughed real hard and I still laugh everytime I reread it. And it’s
also a pretty good superhero story.
3. Do you
prefer fiction or non-fiction?
A: Uh, fiction, duh!! A great
way of escaping!
T: I completely agree with my sister.
4. What
E-reader do you have if any?
A: I actually have the kindle
app for my computers and phone.
T: Once again, ditto.
5. Books
that would be *good* to turn into films?
A: Ooh, the Megan Berry series
by Stacey Jay. It’s about zombie settlers and I just freaking adore those
books. Wish she wrote more!
T: I got two series. The Artemis Fowl series by Eoin
Colfer and The Heir Chronicles by Cinda Willians Chima. They’re both have good
plots, characters, and plenty of action.
6. What
Book are you reading now?
A: I am reading Fairy Tale and
Daynight, enjoying them both!
T: I’m almost done with The Doomsday Code by Alex
Scarrow. I will be starting The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima.
7. If you
could be a *Character* out of any book who would choose and why?
A: The one character that
stands out to me the most would be Pearl from Drink, Slay, Love. Omg, that girl
can command a room and what girl doesn’t dream of that. That kind of confidence
is what I want!
T: Annabeth Chase from the Percy Jackson series. I think
it would be cool to be a demigod.
8. Who is
your favorite Author?
A: Ooh, toughy. I enjoy so many
authors but one of my top favorites would have to be Stacey Kade. I freaking
love her ghost series and I can’t wait for her latest book to come out!
*squeals*
T: Rick Riordan comes to mind. I love Percy Jackson and
the universes he creates.
9. Do books
have to be long to be any good?
A: Absolutely not! I love R.L
Stine’s Fear Street series and they are only 100 pages+, always less than 200
T: No. It just has to be interesting.
10. Are you
a *writer*, if you answered yes please tell us a lil about yourself?
A: Oh yes, I am! I’ve started
writing as a dream career in 2009 and now I am a self-published author on
amazon. I finished my first novel in 2011 yet it has so much work to be done on
it, haha. I get so many new ideas I don’t know where I am going to start next
and I’m afraid I’ll never finish anything else because of it, or because I can
be very lazy.
T: I am. I started right about the same time my sister
did. I started a book but realized it wasn’t a very good idea. So now I’m
working on a different one and nursing another one. Fantasy and science fiction
are my thing.
11. What do
you own more of, Print copies or E-Books copies?
A: More print copies, I’ve been
buying books since 2008 and I prefer
physical copies over digital, so I
should no doubt have more of those haha!
T: I have more print copies. I love the feel of a book in
my hands.
