~Summary~

Darcy Merriweather is Salem, Massachusetts’ newest resident Wishcrafter—a witch who can grant wishes for others. While Darcy isn’t able to grant wishes for herself, she does possess a certain knack for solving problems—including the occasional murder…

When Darcy is hired by Elodie Keaton to clean up her missing mother’s disorderly home, the Wishcrafter is certainly up for the task. After all, the motto of her Aunt Ve’s personal concierge service As You Wish is “No Job Impossible.” But beneath the piles of old newspapers and knickknacks Darcy discovers something much more disturbing—Patrice Keaton’s body.

Darcy’s determined to give Elodie peace of mind by investigating her mother’s disappearance and death. Patrice was last seen over a year ago after a fight with her Charmcrafter boyfriend. Was her murder a crime of passion? Or were Patrice’s troubles caused by the Anicula, a wish-granting amulet? Now Darcy has to not only find a killer, she has to find the Anicula— before the power of ultimate wish fulfillment falls into the wrong hands…

~My Thoughts~

This series is absolutely charming, a must buy for me! It wasn't hard for me to get into! I just love being in Darcy's world, it's just so magical! It's the best way to chase away reality for a while!

The mystery, gah, there's so many twists that Mrs. Blake kept me on my toes! It really gets you thinking and when you think you know who it is, she just rips the rug right from under your feet and shows you you're wrong. I love it!  I love mysteries that make you think, that have a lot of depth to them but don't worry, this is still a very light read! You'll be devouring chapter after chapter without even realizing it!

And the characters, they're all so unique and they've got such charisma to them that I can't help but get sucked into their lives! I just love Archie and Pepe, they are such cute familiars! They always get me cracking! Ohmigosh, and we finally get a glimpse of Darcy's neighbor and Ve's ex- Terry Goodwin and I absolutely love the story the author gave him. You just might get a little "a hunk, a hunk of burning love" when we meet him. These moments are when I hate cliffhangers at the end of chapters because I had to put down the book to go do a chore before I could continue on haha.

Overall I love watching Darcy come into her own, I'm excited to see what the next one brings her! And Harper and Ve too! At the end of this I was smiling ear to ear! Actually, I was smiling throughout the book. I'm excited to see more of Harper and Marcus, Ve and......well, you'll just have to read to see cause I ain't spoiling the goods. I love the balance of romance, magic, and mystery Mrs. Blake puts into her books. One never overshadows the other and that is truly brilliant writing right there! It amazes me how well crafted the Wishcraft Mysteries are! I'm dying for the next one!
