Teaser Tuesday (58)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB from Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read.
  • Open to a random page.
  • Share (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.--BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS. Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away. You don't want to ruin the book for others.
  • Share the title & author, so others can add to their TBR list if they like your teasers.
Our Teasers This Week. . .

Her heart thudded, and she shivered. The night had grown colder, or perhaps he had brought the chill with him. This was the moment Hailey had spent sixty years imagining, but it was all wrong. She was no young girl, pretty and free, running through the meadow feeling the soft grass beneath her feet, the beautiful uncertainty of life and her future still ahead of her.

They'd healed quickly - too quickly- no longer scabs, as they should have been, since very little time had passed since he'd been served up as an hors d'oeuvre at the Vampire ball, but already scars.

  1. The old vampire, if she's really old, that's an interesting, new point of view. I can't wait to read Unraveled.

  2. @Rivie- yes, it's about an elderly women and reading from that point of view was very interesting and I really enjoyed it, seeing we may have more in common with them than most would think.
