Summary
Maya Delaney's paw-print birthmark is the mark of what
she truly is -a skin-walker. She can run faster, climb higher, and see better
than nearly everyone else. Experiencing intense connections with the animals
that roam the woods outside her home, Maya knows it's only a matter of time
before she's able to Shift and become one of them. And she believes there may be
others in her small town with surprising talents.
Now Maya and her friends have been forced to flee from their homes during a forest fire they suspect was deliberately set. Then they're kidnapped, and after a chilling helicopter crash, they find themselves in the Vancouver Island wilderness with nothing but their extraordinary abilities to help them get back home.
In THE CALLING, the sizzling second book in the Darkness Rising trilogy, New York Times bestselling author Kelley Armstrongpumps up the romance, danger, and suspense that left readers
of THE GATHERING clamoring for more.

Week Two- 8 chapters, 89-159 pages
Okay, this
week was a little hard at coming up with questions as these chapters is pretty
much information overload and we really try not to spoil much on this blog. And
since it was so hard I, Dashley, will be the only one coming up with questions
cause Tasha’s brain is fried.
Pretty much
they are still surviving out in the forest, they are learning new things and
for some of them it’s a bit of a shock.
A: Okay, do you think part of Maya’s supernatural gift
she is allowed to communicate with other skin-walkers through thought/dreams?
T:
No. I think it has more to do with her experimented on genes than
anything.
A:
If you found out that you were a
part of an experimental project, how would you react to it?
T:
I would definitely be freaked and have trouble trusting people. I would
want to find out what was done to me. And I probably want justice or revenge or
both.
A:
If you saw one of your friends
start to transform into something else in front of your eyes, how would you
react?
T:
It depends on what they turn into. If it’s like a werewolf or something
like that, I’ll probably be a little freaked and make sure they don’t try to
eat me. If they don’t want to eat me then I think I would think it was cool.
A:
Do you still think something is up
with Sam or do you believe her and her stories?
T:
I don’t know if I believe her, but I don’t think she’ll do anything to
hurt them.
A:
If a supposedly rescue guy came
around with an ATV and decided to leave it cause it was too loud, would you
even think about taking it?
T:
If it’s too loud for him, it’s probably too loud for me. If I was injured
and couldn’t run well then I’ll think about it. But if I could get away without
it, I would leave it.
A:
Since we are halfway through the
book do you think Kelley will bring in more of the other experiments from the
first series as the characters are now just finding out about Project Genesis?
T:
Maybe near the end but I think she’ll
save most of that for the next book.
Okay, there you have it!
Happy Reading Everybody!
