Every Tuesday Bibliophile By the Sea hosts First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros, where we share the first paragraph or (a few) of a book we're reading or thinking about reading soon. Care to join us?
"Here we go, Olivia Abbott thought as her mother's car pulled away from the curb.
Olivia stood on the sidewalk and smoothed the skirt of her new dress for the millionth time. She usually felt her best in pink, but for some reason it wasn't helping at all this morning.
Olivia wished she didn't feel so nervous. After all, it wasn't like this was the cheerleading nationals or anything. It was just her first day of eighth grade at a new middle school. In an unfamiliar town. Where she didn't know anybody.
She was totally freaking out."
I'm really enjoying this, it's such an easy read and I'm devouring it! (I may even be done with it before this post goes up haha)
Thanks for stopping by!
