Shrek Forever After

A bored and domesticated Shrek pacts with deal-maker Rumpelstiltskin to get back to feeling like a real ogre again, but when he's duped and sent to a twisted version of Far Far Away -- where Rumpelstiltskin is king, ogres are hunted, and he and Fiona have never met -- he sets out to restore his world and reclaim his true love.

So I finally decided to watch this after seeing parts of it one morning while getting ready for school and because right now I have this craving for fairy tales thanks to the one and only, Once Upon A Time, an original ABC channel series (to see my review just click here.) Plus, it's been on the DVR list since, like, June so it's about time, don't you think?

It's the fourth installment in the Shrek series and it was good. It had my sister and I laughing, going "aw, how cute", and of course feeling a little sad when the good guys didn't always get the upper hand (including Shrek when he couldn't finish his mission at the perfect moments.....by then again, why make it easy).

I loved the dark world the artists created, though not to dark for little kids, because it was made for them. But not just them, it's a great family film were any age can sit down and enjoy this film.

Seeing all our favorite characters and how they lived life without Shrek is fun and funny. Donkey whom sings quite frequently and can't help himself to a delicious meal, Puss in Boots with his adorable entrances, Gingy (gingerbread man) and his lolly pop sword (you'll learn more about that when you watch...and it's very, very cute) and last but not least, Fiona the one whom wears the chain mail in the relationship.

Plus some new faces, which helped balance out the movie. Rumpelstiltskin.....oh, Rumpelstiltskin and his wigs, Pied Piper and his groovy tunes, and then the witches....*sigh* how I loved the witches and the things they used to capture the ogres.

Just like any good movie there's ups and there's downs for the characters and like most fairy tales they tend to always put a flutter of hope in our hearts.

A fun, fast paced action, great for all ages film and I give it
