Dreaming Of Sequels (11)

Our feature here is where we talk about sequels we are just dying to have. And you all know that there are many, many out there that we are just craving to have! ^_^

So, sequels means any sequels. As long as it's after the first, #1, then it is acceptable haha. Also, we will be doing this every Wednesday!

Okay then, here we go!

~Summary~

What if a killer took control of you?

Vee Bell’s gift (or curse) of “sliding”—slipping into the mind of another person and experiencing life, briefly, through his or her eyes—has been somewhat under control since she unwillingly witnessed the horrific deaths of her classmates six months ago.

But just as things are getting back to normal, Vee has a very bizarre experience: she loses consciousness and finds herself in a deserted area, at the edge of a cliff, with the broken body of the boy who took advantage of her on the rocks below.

As Vee finds herself in stranger and stranger situations with no memory of getting there, she begins to suspect that someone she knows has the ability to slide—and that this “slider” is using Vee to exact revenge on his or her enemies.

I enjoyed the first one and it was a pretty decent mystery, one that I would love to get back to. It’s been a while since I read it so I may not have much to say about it but I’ll say a few things and then give quotes from my review of, Slide, book one.

Vee’s ability to slide is an amazing adventure and one that is new to me. I haven’t read much of this ability so it was a blast for me and thought it to be cool to slip into another person’s mind and see what they are doing at the time.

When I found out there was a sequel I honestly couldn’t believe it as the first book sealed the deal at the end, finished every last detail with an answer, all the strings were tied, and the bad guy got his ending. So this book is a completely different story line and one that I am excited to get to.

Someone who is somehow controlling Vee’s ability, very interesting people, very interesting and yes, I am intrigued! ^_^

~Sequel to~

Slide (Slide, #1)

“The story mostly stayed tuned on Vee's life and her sliding ability, which to say the least, is pretty damn cool. We get to go on a ride with her as she tries to keep her family together as her sister's best friend and someone else close to her sister, dies. And all the while, she too is going through something. Vee is strong and with her father gone to all the time with work she has to be, as her mother passed away 5 years ago.”

“Overall, this was a pretty good read. Living as Vee and going through the emotions with her, was an adventure. The writing is smooth and you'll just melt into this world. The characters are all different yet they mesh well. And developing them is like any first novel. Also, I was happy with the ending and glad she picked the right guy for her.”

“A fun ride and I can't wait for the next one, even though this one turned out differently than what I was expecting.”

Happy Reading everybody!
