~Summary~
Nick Merrick is supposed to be the level-headed one. The peacemaker. Since it’s just him and his three hotheaded brothers against the world, that’s a survival tactic.

But now he’s got problems even his brothers can’t help him survive.

His so-called girlfriend, Quinn, is going quick as mercury from daring to crazy. Meanwhile, Quinn’s dancer friend Adam is throwing Nick off balance, forcing him to recognize a truth he’d rather shove back into the dark.

He can feel it—-the atmosphere is sizzling. Danger is on the way. But whatever happens next, Nick is starting to find out that sometimes nothing you do can keep the peace.

~My Thoughts~

~ebook ARC was provided by NetGalley~

I am so glad we finally got to read from Nicks point of view, cause after the struggle between his brother in the second book, Spark, I so had to get a piece of his action ;). I felt bad for him in both of the books as he was always in the firing at the wrong moments and this one he doesn’t fall short of that either.

In Breathless we get to see him struggle more internally and it will pull at your heart strings, especially when you find out what team he is playing on. However not only do we see him struggle with this life choice but we also get to see behind the eyes of Quinn and that is just as heart breaking.

Her view on relationships, thinking guys only want that one thing from her is quite devastating and you just have an over powering feeling to want to help her. Her family isn't so supportive of her dreams either and this just makes it even more worse on her, along with her family seeing her as a black sheep.

Yes, this is an emotional ride for the both of them and you'll guys will just love it. As a diehard fan of this series I am so glad there will be a full length novel dedicated to Nick cause after this read, you'll want more I promise.

Overall this left me completely speechless, in a good way of course. If you're looking for this as a continuing story of the major plots that go on in the novels, sorry. These short stories are just to shine some light on the characters and what makes them who they are. And boy does it change not only them but the readers as we go along on this roller coaster ride with them.

It will take possession over you
