~My Thoughts~
I was excited to dive into this book thinking it was going to continue Gemma and Adam's story from the first book, Embracing Her Wolf. Then I read what this one was about and was sad it wasn't about them, but Her Wolf series is a standalone one (duh). Even so, this sounded good nonetheless and I was excited to see another aspect of this world Mrs. Hayes has created!
Just like the first book, this was an action packed read and it drew me in! The build up was done nicely and it was interesting watching Annie bring Huck into this world. Though how far he got into it, she didn't want him to have this life like she did but with danger around every corner, it was bound for him to get sucked into it. That was an absolute surprise for me but it really shouldn't have been haha.
Overall this was a page turner, Annie was a badass! An intense read watching how far some people will go just to become Alpha in this world! It was also wonderful seeing Gemma and Adam from the first one! Though it was a surprise that between the two stories a year has gone by and that Gemma and Adam have become a legend haha. Can't wait to read the next one!
Sweet Readings Everybody!
