Movie Review: Radio Rebel

Summary

High schooler Tara, a girl so painfully shy that she can't even write a single letter on the board in front of a class, has an awesome secret - she is "Radio Rebel". When Tara puts on that headset in her room and does her daily podcast, she becomes a confident, outspoken, inspiring, anonymous voice on the airwaves.

When her stepfather, the owner/producer guy at SLAM radio, finds out that Tara is Radio Rebel, Tara gets to move from her bedroom to a sound studio to do live shows for SLAM. Everything is the perfect amount of chaos until Principal Moreno, whose only goal in life seems to be to destroy others, cancels Prom and all the students blame Rebel.

Just like any other Disney Channel original movie they always have a message in the end. This one is no different.

Standing tall, being true to ones self, and going against the cliques that this world sadly has. Though, it's not all of our faults, it's been like that for centuries.

Debby Ryan is really starting to grow on me and I think she did a fabulous job in this one. Acting so shy that you can't even write on a board is crazy to think. I'm shy but not that shy and truthfully I have never met such a person so it was kind of interesting to see her act this way.

You maybe asking yourself this. If she's so shy how can she have her own radio show? Well, it's not impossible. I'm shy when it comes to new people- face to face- but when I'm on the computer and chatting away with others- I'm completely different. (well, not completely- but I'm more confident). And I'm pretty sure that's true to others out there too.

I loved this movie. I got swept away and was happy with how it ended. To the changes that the popular people didn't like, the sweet soon to be romance between her and gavin, her crazy but fun mother, her two best friends (one best friend and her crazy drama exercises), and her guy friends were awesome and all that was what made this movie very, very enjoyable.

Gavin was swoon worthy, ladies. He's a musical and my knees buckle everytime when it comes to them. Plus, it didn't help that he was just the sweetest thing ever. No matter what, he was always there for Debby's character. Loved.

Overall, this was very entertaining. Most definitely a rewatch. Great for all ages. Humorous with romance and if you're a fan of those then this is a much watch. :)

Happy Viewing Everybody!
