~Character Interview~

Barbie

When Dylan first started tutoring you, you didn't seem all that impressed with him. When did you first start noticing your feelings toward him?
He was such a pretentious ass. Can I say ass? Well he was an ass munch. It was not until I saw him with Emmy that things started to change. Any guy that lets his little sister dress him up, can’t be that much of an ass. But I think I always had feelings for him, ever since I was a little girl. They were just awoken when I saw him with her. And the boy has great abs.
I would say that Dylan seems pretty uptight. Do you think we'll get to see him loosen up in the future?
I hope so that boy is wound as tighter than a rubber band. And any one wound that tight is about to snap.
The ending of Barbie Girl didn't look all that promising for you and Dylan. What's going to be your next move?
Dylan had his chance and he betrayed me. Okay, so I know he didn’t really have a choice and if I was in his shoes I would do the same exact thing. But everything was just so confusing and I have to think of Everett first. So my next move is to just breathe and figure out how I am going live under the same roof as him. And that boy is not making it easy.
Your home life situation wasn't all that great. Actually, it was horrible. If you could say one thing to your mother (and have her actually listen) what would it be?
I would want to know what made her chose drugs over Everett and I. She never spoke much of her past but I know something bad had to happen to make her try to numb her pain the way she does.
What's one thing about you that we don't know?
I have a tattoo. But I am not going to say where or what ;)
What can we expect from you in Barbie World?
I am bound and determined to find out where I came from.  I need to find the woman who abandoned my mother and get the questions I have answered.
If you could describe your experience in Barbie Girl with one word, what would it be?
Well there are a few four letter words I would use, but since I can’t say them… Heartbreaking.

~About The Author~

Heidi Acosta

Heidi Acosta was born on Long Island, New York. Moving around a lot when she was younger, she has lived in New York, Arizona, New York (again), Washington, Georgia, and Florida, in that order. Each place offered her something special, but she will always consider New York her home.

Heidi started writing as soon as she could spell. When she was three, Heidi’s mother gave her a copy of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House in the Big Woods; thus beginning her lifelong love affair with literature.

Writing soon also became a form of therapy for Heidi, when she realized that no matter what was happening in her life, she could find emotional escape while writing. Some of her earliest stories featured her as a princess who explored new worlds with her horse Buttercup. If it sounds romantic, it wasn’t, there was no prince charming in those fairy lands (boys where yucky).

Heidi now resides in Florida with her husband, very active daughter, one hyper Chihuahua, two sweet cats, and one very fat moody cat.
